Against deforestation!

Hello everyone:

Today I`ll talk about a topic, which I find interesting and this is deforestation in the world, particulary in South America.

The Amazon rainforest is the world's largest tropical rainforest. Even, more than 60 percent it belongs to Brazil.

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon is typically driven by industrial agriculture and land speculation. More than 70 percent of deforested land ends up as cattle pasture. High commodity prices typically create incentives for deforestation.

Brazilian farmers have been demanding enviromentalist laws in the Amazon region. So, in this way  they support a bill that would let them clear half the land on their properties in environmentally sensitive areas.

Some environmental experts warned that simple economics were driving to the deforestation rates, and that as the global economy recovers from financial crisis, the rates would rise of deforestation again.

Against deforestation...

A Brazilian priest, frustated by the plight of deforestation that plagues his city: Piresdo, he decided to impose a new style in the confessional. So which is?  a environmental penance, this idea consist in to plant trees and change the current situation for Brazil.

What?  Basically what the priest proclaims is that if you wants to earn forgiveness and get in good with the above, something must be done also for the planet. And the better way to do something for the planet is help to reforest the city in which they live.

However, probably  the orthodox Catholic is disagree with this practice. But no doubt that initiatives like this give a imagen more human and close the church to the people in this century.

In addition, scheduled for Octuber has a reforestation of one of the most affected areas of the city, where probably the priest`s blessing. So the best thing is that everybody can help the planet.

Man Ray

Today I´ll talk about the best in my field but is a difficult question because I like many artist. Besides I consider that exist many artworks important for the development for History of art. Anyway, in my opinion the twenty century was the most important for arts.

So you have no idea what is? Well is Man Ray. I like his work! I choose this artist because his works changed the way people see and do photograph. Moreover, in my point of view I think that the photograph was make art when is experimental and this artist is experimental and he shows the other face of photograph.

A menber of the Dadá art movement and the only american member of the Paris Surrealist movement. Man Ray considered himself an artist and thought of photography as a medium of artistic expression when used for more than reproduction.  In describing his work, Man Ray once said, “I paint what can not be photographed. I photograph what I do not wish to paint.”

Man Ray in his work to create a Surrealist vision of the female form during the 20`. He began to utilize photography  in his work , for example:  by means of as solarization over enlargement development for to create a dreamlike effect in his artwork. Also his use of the Rayograph helped him to create a new profound look to his photography, stressing the importance of light and shadow rather than the object itself.  These  images create by placing objects on light sensitive photographic paper and then exposing the paper to light.

As Vasarely said before existed the artist genius, now, there is a coexistence of researchers.

Suicide or not suicide. That is the question...

Today I`ll talk about news of my country. So this news is controversial in Chili and others countries.  In my opinion this subject is difficult for me because I`m sensible with case.

                                     

So in these days all talk about exhumation of Allende´s body.  The last May 23, news showed us pictures of the grave just in timewhen they removed the body.

Well, this news surprised me because I never would have thought that something like this would happen. Anyway this happen is good for chilean people and for our history. Then in my opinion the case of Allende president is complicated because I think our history is not clear. So I hope the goverment and the news talk us the truth.

The questions arose as a result of an audit report conducted in 2008, according to which Allende's body had two hits, leaving open the possibility he was killed by the military, which seems unlikely, according to the testimonies of those who accompanied him until the last moment, or was assisted in a suicide attemp. Salvador Allende's body was initially taken to a cemetery in Viña del Mar and later, in 1990, the mausoleum that bears his name in the cemetery of the capital. Never found the assault rifle AK-47 with allegedly shot and the bullet that had to be extracted in the first autopsy performed by the military coup.

Furthemore, I believe in the truth of facts and at the moment we only know that he died on 11 september in 1973.

Hello everyone:

Today  I´ll talk about  my favourite  food.  So you  have  no idea what is? Well is Sushi. I love it! However  I decided talk about japaneses because they are interesting people in the other sides.  Any way,  I interested  in Asian culture. But in this case I talk for Japan and particularly japanese food.  The most popular food for us is sushi. 

So when I want taste food usually buy sushi or I´ll go to sushi-bar.  Anyway I think the people enjoy it.  But they  don’t  see  in this food  the Japan culture because they make everything  with technique. Just perferct way! For me this is amazing  and personally  I admire their patience. So they want to perfection.

First, I think the sushi is cool because is healthy food and to symbolize all the Japan culture. So in my opinion the culinary tradition is important for you can to understand their culture.  Therefore,  the “sensei”  (in this case the chef) is a person who took a lot work  to obtain his degree.  Even he wait long time for this degree.

Second part, the history of sushi  it dates from the 8^th century.  And the basics ingredients for eat  this food : plate, hashi (castanets) ginger, wasabi and sushi-meshi (rice).

Finally exist many variety of kind of sushi. So I think that japanese food is fine and especially sushi food.

Hello everyone:

I hope you are well. Today I’ll talk about this picture. Well this photograph I like because it shows a perfect moment. So I decided for this. I tell you the moment when to take this photo and to describe the picture for you. Anyway the moment was funny.

I want to tell you who took this photograph, well my friend Jimena was take the picture. So the picture shows my friend Pascale and me in “La cantera” this site is a bar. However this bar is in Valparaíso, I like to much this port because I think that Valparaíso in the most beautiful port in Chili. On the other hand I found it (the bar) by my friend Pascale, who was often visiting this site. However this photograph was taken in December 2010. So I was in Valparaíso for the New Year because I love looking the fireworks in this port.  But the image shows the moment when my friends and me were painting the town red. This night was really entertaining. First we went to meet a friend who was in the station and later we went to bar. That day we drink all the night and finished eating fast food.   

Anyway I like was because I believe we look great in this photo. So I really love the way we appear in this picture. I love it!

The problem about education...

Today, I'm to talk about important topic: the education. In my opinion the most important in the life for any person is the education. Because, the modern society must be educated for it can be better. So the situation in this country is worrying because the money is most important that education, I don't believe it!

Even is possible that education can be private. This situation is intolerable. Moreover, the president and his politics to approve this idea about education and business, these don't mix. The management is bad because the politicians are O.K. with this situation, they don't care if you want study and you haven't got money for pay.

So I think the strike is fine because that everyone have the right to strike. The last Thursday the people went to protest but the police did not let them protest.  Also many people were under arrest and this was denied by the government.  Even, I wanted to go protest but I didn't go.

In my opinion I believe the government is wrong because they don't make the best for the country. So, I think the president and ministers must worry about what people need and the people need projects that help them live better. Therefore, free education is necessary.   

My opinion about activity in class

Well, today I to talk about london city and all information that you need for to go on a turist trip. First, in my opinion the most important thing when you to search information is the site because the information can be true or false.

There is many information about city of London, but you must search whatever is more convenient for you. This way you can to organize your own travel. Moreover exist many sites where you find diferent places and his prices. Besides you can see map of London in internet or buy it.  Anyway the sites in internet show all the information you can need.

Moreover, the sites web give suggestion about places in the city. If you search well you can find all kinds of things about this city, may be look and meet: museum, parks, popular street and bars.  

Therefore the interesting thing about the case is that you can do many things in this place, furthemore you can make your own itinerary and follow the route that you want.
